Sabemos que o verbo "ter" em inglês é "have", então se vou falar "eu tenho... anos" vamos consequentemente traduzir "I have... years old", mas em realidade não temos posse da idade, se tivéssemos acho que maioria não iria querer passar dos trinta. Mas quando falamos idade em inglês falamos "I am ... years old " isso é um chunk.

Outro exemplo: "vou para a praia", "Para" em inglês é "for. Mas "I go for the beach" é errado, usamos o to em sentido de deslocamento. O correto seria "I go to the beach" outro chunk. O inglês é praticamente um quebra cabeça, é só montar.
Vamos fazer uma frase no presente continuo. O presente continuo é usando pra ações no momento ou um futuro breve. A estrutura básica (sujeito+ to be + verbo [ing]+ complemento [quando ou aonde])

- He is working at home now.
Posso alterar o verbo de work (trabalhar) para play (brincar/jogar/tocar) e a frase continua correta.
Por exemplo
-he is playing at home now.
Posso alterar o complemento de now (agora) para muitos outros (amanha, em breve, logo) e continuará correto.
Por exemplo
-He is playing tomorrow.
Com a repetição da frase e passando a estrutura correta (tempo verbal, afirmativa, negativa, interrogativa). Os alunos têm o livre arbítrio de falar das coisas que lhe interessa ou o oposto usando o inglês tendo um resultado quase imediato. Consequentemente criando mais interesse pela língua.

Sou professor de inglês a mais de 10 anos, e tenho contato com o inglês há 22 anos. Fui alfabetizado nós EUA. Morei 9 anos lá e fiz toda minha escolaridade da terceira série até finalizar high school.
