Como usar “close” e “shut”
A diferença entre “close” e “shut” é pequena.
• Shut/close your eyes.
• Can you close/shut the door?
• They close/shut the shops at 8 o'clock.
“Close” (e não “shut”) é usado preferencialmente com estradas, cartas, contas bancárias, reuniões, etc.
• You should close your existing account before opening a new account. (You should shut your existing account … - NÃO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
