I have been teaching for a while now, and one thing got my attention lately. The fact that most of my students don't use technology to help them around with their studies. Pretty much all of them have a smart phone, they know how to use it, they actually use it, but not for studies reasons. At least not for English ones.
I decided to give them a little push and I put a list of the best 10 apps on the school board where I work. Nothing! Nobody comment on it or (at least as far as I know) got one of the apps for a try (and some of them are even for free....).
So, analyzing this, I would like to know why... Why people don't use technology for more than just networking. Why not using it for studies reasons?
