I am an English Language Expert Professional with wide experience in teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language) In Brazil, South Korea and England for the past 19 years. My experience with the English Language started when I was eleven years old, as my parents attended a church with several American families who were serving as missionaries. I began building a relationship with the MKs (missionary kids), than attended a language institute later in my teenage years. At the age of seventeen I went to the US as an exchange student at Freedom Baptist Academy High School in the State of Michigan.
Furthermore, apart from taking several courses that focused on Portuguese and English Language I have completed further trainings in EFL such as teacher training programmes, CNA teachers training, DEC Tesol, Laurels Voices in Training, Laurels Voices in Teaching, The Way to English, teaching through the Bible and IBEU (United States Institute to Brazil Binational Institute).
Throughout my professional path, besides completing courses in EFL, I’ve participated in international conventions as attendee and presenter in some occasions as my professional history has been focused on teaching through the communicative methodology. I’ve been inspired by the communicative approach which is based in the constructivism and cognitive concepts and theories.
In Brazil, I’ve worked in schools as a language instructor, coordinator, trainer and developed curriculum for language centres. Schools such as Curso Chaplin and British & American.
In South Korea, I’ve developed a programme as well as coordinating the middle class courses for the summer immersion camp at TLBU (University) in Seoul. During my experience at the summer camp, I was in charge of students’ activities TOEIC preparation programme and coordinating the teachers for middle school groups.
