Hi there! Foi Uma boa questão. Sempre que vejo um nativo reclamando de ardência eles usam o verbo "to burn" mesmo que queimar. It's like ....uh......It is gonna burn, it"s burning, the burning feeling. And stuff like that. A palavra "smart" também life dar esse sentido de ardência. Entre no oxford learners dictionary website, and see some examples with the word smart. Not meaning "intelligent" but with the meaning you want. Help to glad.
