Bikinis or Burkinis ?

Lots of people already call this word "burkini" a linguistic  mashup of  "burka " and " bikini ".Have you seen it before ? Nowadays "burkini" has been mentioned several times in newspaper reports and magazines because Muslim women who are used to wearing their burkinis ( fullbody swimwear )to go the beaches in France cannot wear them any more.You can get more information about this french ban if you click on the links below .

 France is embroiled in a controversy over the modest bathing suit/burkini ,often worn by Muslim women.Burkini wearers are being forced to disrobe on French beaches !

The burkini ban shocked many people when they saw the photos at the city's Promenade des Anglais  of four police officers armed with handguns,batons and pepper spray standing around the woman who was lying on the beach wearing a blue headscarf and matching top.She is thought to have been issued with a fine and warned about the new dress code on the beach !!!

In several french towns there were several campaigners protesting against the ban of the " burkini " ( fullbody swimsuit ).Esma Jeraj,a 26-year-old organizer has said :

 " We are really angry  that you have a state supporting the idea that armed police can come along and ask you to remove your clothes in public and dictate  what you should or shouldn't wear. The war on terror should never begin in a woman's wardrobe.The idea that is happening is absolutely ludicrous and absurd ."
