Look at this photo below.Have you ever seen an animal like this before? This is one type of yak (the word which is in the title of this blog).Do you believe an animal of this size can be domesticated?Would you like to have it in you classroom ?Why are there people in our world that love to have yaks near them? How can yaks be very useful for some people's daily routines? You can answer some of these questions and get more information about yaks ,if you click on the links below the picture.

Now that you are "familiar"with the yaks, let me tell you why I've decided to show you this animal.
There is a new film which was made in Bhutan named :Lunana:Yak in the classroom. It is a must watch movie,in my opinion.
"Lunana:Yak in the classroom" is an incredible story that happens in Lunana,a remote village in the mountains, where the people who live there don't have much ,but they are happy and do their best with what they have.
The government-contracted teacher who gets to Lunana had to walk six days to reach the village's school which was a wooden hut with no supplies ! He had always had classroom tools and supplies while he was working in a large city in Bhutan.Since supplies were non-existent,the young teacher had to get creative .He was a charismatic young man so together with the children who were eager to learn, he could change his mind about several of his points of view related to teaching and learning.Well,to make a long story short: "less is more".
I agree with Valerie Complex from https://deadline.com/2022/01/lunana-a-yak-in-the-classroom-review-oscar-short-list-1234915050/
when she says: "Simplicity is what makes the film charming and earthy."
Enjoy!
