The three " C " of vocabulary learning.

Everyone who wants to learn a foreign

language wants to have conversation

classes.Then they should know of the

three" C " of vocabulary learning :

Collocation -which are high frequency words,

include a wide variety of idioms,

phrasal verbs,euphemisms,clichés

and many other types of discourse-

structuring devices.

Context - the circumstance that forms the

setting for a statement or idea,and in

terms of which it can be fully understood

and assessed.

Connotation- the emotional subtext of a word,

phrase or sentence,and is separate from the

dictionary meaning,or denotation.

 Thus we, teachers , can guarantee our pupils who

are eager to have conversation classes that  there

is no magic !

Without their own discipline and routine of

sitting at least 30 minutes , daily ,to study

or research vocabulary,they will not be

able to have a chat with their

friends and feel fine and fluent in

the foreign language.
