There was a time when nobody had problems handing or delivering envelopes to the right receivers.A long long time ago a lot of people used to write letters to their friends, lovers and there were also the business letters that lots of receivers and senders could keep correspondence for a while without any real problems.

There were also the friendly postmen who brought and delivered the letters and different envelopes to different addresses in big cities or small villages where the letters could arrive safe and sound. Do you remember that?

If you click on the links below the photos there are interesting stories to read about the challenges postmen must face to deliver the mail to the right receivers nowadays.

The historical gaffe at the 89th Oscar Awards was finally explained by the organizers who admitted the envelopes had been handed wrongly causing all that trouble on the stage.People will never forget that Oscar night! It was embarrassing and unbelievable indeed !

However, on that same night, there was a letter which was read on stage which was not any reason to make people laugh or be shocked by it.This letter was written by Asghar Farhadi the Iranian director whose film got the Oscar for Best Foreign -Language Picture.

Mr.Farhadi refused to attend the Academy Awards, after the temporary US travel ban for seven Muslim-majority countries.Iran was one of the seven countries affected by this measure, which was since been blocked from being carried out by ta federal court ruling.

Iranian-US engineer Anousheh Ansari delivered a speech on behalf of the Iranian director which said:

"I'm sorry I'm not with you tonight. My absence is out of respect for the people of my country and those of other nations who have been disrespected by the inhumane law that bans entry of immigrants to the US." Click on the link below to read the full text of Farhadi's letter,ok?
