USANDO O PRESENT CONTINUOUS PARA FALAR DO FUTURO

The present continuous is usedA to talk about arrangements for events at a time later than now. There is a suggestion that more than one person is aware of the event, and that some preparation has already happened.

O present continuous (verbo to be no presente + verbo + ING) pode ser usado para falar de programações de eventos que ocorrerão em um tempo mais tarde do que o agora. Existe uma sugestão de que mais de uma pessoa está consciente desse evento, e que alguma preparação já foi feita anteriormente.

EXEMPLOS

I'm meeting Joan at the airport = Joan and I have discussed this.

Eu vou me encontrar com Joan no aeroporto = Joan e eu já discutimos sobre isso.

I am leaving tomorrow. = I've already bought my plane ticket.

Nós teremos uma reunião de equipe na próxima Segunda = só dessa vez

b. We have a staff meeting every Monday

Nós temos uma reunião de equipe toda Segunda.
