Bitcoins are not in the currency lists,are they ?

After reading these quotes below everyone can sit and chat for hours !!! Money has always been a "good" reason and issue to discuss about and money and different currencies have already made business people and regular consurmers choose  how they are going to invest,spend or waste all the money they make along their lives.

In addition to that,anyone who decides to travel abroad should not do it before checking the List of currencies of the World and their updated rates which will give the travellers then some idea how much they are going to spend while they are abroad.

Well,most currency lists are very long and often  print the 164 official national currencies circulating around the world.However, you cannot find in the popular currency lists the "bitcoins" ! The "bitcoins" have been repeatedly mentioned in the middle of May all over the world ,haven't they ? There have been cyber attacks in different parts of the world with hackers demanding "bitcoins" to unlock private files and computers too !

Have you read or heard about this issue lately ? Can you explain what "bitcoins" are ? Do you mind when you buy something and the shopassistant gives you back lots of coins as change for your regular bill ? 

Anyway ,you can find the "bitcoin" defined in several online dictionaries but you cannot look it up at a dictionary that was printed before 2008! The "bitcoin" is a digital currency produced by a public network rather than any government.In other words,the "bitcoin" is a virtual currency created for use in on line transactions.It is not yet a stable currency.
