Consumers love Sales and Promotions !!!

The term "Black Friday" was coined in the

1960s to mark the kickoff to the Christmas

shopping season.Retailers realized they could

draw big crowds by discounting prices and they

could sell very quickly their goods which had been

in their stock for ages !

In those years ,when accounting records

were kept by hand,red ink indicated loss,and

black ink profit.Because of the great discounts ,

the shops moved from red to the black fast !Buy-

-ers spent less money and they bought everything

they considered real bargains !!!

Some retailers put their items up for sale on

the morning of Thanksgiving (last Thursday

in November )or email on line specials to con-

-sumers days or weeks before the actual event.

Consequently,buyers know when they have to

go to these shops and wait in long lines to get

what they want.

More and more consumers are choosing to shop

online to avoid waiting outside the shops very

early in the morning and battle over the last most

wanted items.

In Brazil many  people cannot wait patiently

for the Black Friday promotions so shoppers

advertise nearly everything calling attention

to the discounts,of course !

Most consumers cannot resist discounts,can you ?
