Two symbols that people love and admire for ages !

Usaine Bolt ,the greatest Jamaican sprinter who has made the crowd cheer and celebrate his third victory in a row ! He became the first man to win gold medals in consecutive Olympic Games.

As soon as Usain Bolt won the 100m race ,he got Vinícius as a gift (one of the Brazilian mascots of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro).The winner held Vinícius in his hands for a while and then gave Vinícius to some Jamaican people who were watching him !

By the way, Vinícius de Moraes ( 1913-1980) songwriter,playwright,poet and diplomat is not well-known in English -speaking countries,but he helped to create two of the enduring icons of the 20th century culture: the film Black Orpheus and the song  "The Girl from Ipanema " which he cowrote with Antonio Carlos Jobim.

The Girl from Ipanema was recorded by several international singers .Frank Sinatra (1915-1998 ),The Voice,has a very nice performance of this famous brazilian tune that he recorded together with Tom Jobim.Do you remember it ?  You can listen to them singing right now and sing along ,ok ?

Last but not least,  Usain Bolt the charismatic Jamaican sprinter after confirming his great victory,took off his golden running spikes ! Several reporters followed him to ask if he was planning to give them away,but the friendly Bolt  admitted : " Not this time.I'll treasure them for a long while ! "
