They are all welcome ! All the Olimpians feel really proud and enthusiastic whenever they win a medal ,don't they ? The medals are the best prizes for their  great efforts and struggles they had to go through along years of training and sacrifices.

 

Can you imagine how many medals have been produced for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic Games ? Do you believe there are as many gold medals to Olympic athletes as there are for the Paralympic athletes ? Do you know how heavy these medals are ? What do you know about the podium on which Olympians stand to receive  their medals ?

I didn' t know that the Olympic Medals were made with the concept of using the recycled
materials as all the other eco-friendly elements which were part of the games. As athletes are people who work hard to win, the Olympic thoughts must also respect Nature.
There are more Paralympic medals than Olympic ones. I was glad to know that these medals have sounds and braille inscriptions on them.
The winners will be very proud to get them !!!
