Hurricane,Cyclone & Typhoon . Are they different phenomena

Inglês Listening Reading British American English

Weather forecasts keep changing all the time, don't they ?  Many Brazilian people never check the weather forecasts before leaving home ,but a lot of foreign people never leave home without listening ,reading or watching information about the weather.

How about you  ? Do you often pay attention to the weather forecast or you do not worry about the weather at all ?

The British anthropologist Kate Fox,who performed the studies in 2010 for an update of her book  "Watching the English-The hidden rules of English Behaviour  " has said  :" According to recent research 94% of British respondents admit to  having conversed about the weather in the past 6 hours while 38% say they have in the past 60 minutes. This means at almost any moment in England,at least a third of the population is either talking about the weather, has already done so or is about to do so ! "

If you click on the link below you can get more information about this British people's habit,ok ?

I preferred the third quote "Wherever you go,whatever the weather, always bring your own sunshine ".These Phenomena cause a lot of destruction so the people need to evacuate their cities not to die.The video was very informative showing new things about Typhoon, hurricanes and cyclones.American citizens are afraid of Matthews because it is approaching their coast.

Hello,J.P ! I'm glad to see you've commented and chosen a very nice quote about the weather. We are lucky to live in Brazil where these phenomena seldom occur, aren't we ?
Let's hope no more people die because of Matthew !
