Infobesity is a blend based on the words information and obesity.This term draws a parallel between excessive consumption of information and the negative consequence of unhealthy western diets.Infobesity is also known as "information overload".It has been around for ages ,but nowadays it is more current than ever.

 A recent British study suggests that nearly half of all office workers in the U.K are suffering from infobesity,and that 40% of them feel that they need to check their e-mails constantly just not to miss any important work mail at any time of the day ! How about brazilians ? Do you believe we  also suffer from infobesity ?

Besides from making us stressed and affecting our decision making,the constant access to information through our smart phones can also have another devastating effect -we never get bored ! Although this might seem as a positive thing,research has shown that boredom actually helps us being creative.Being bored signals to the mind that we are in need of fresh ideas and stimulates creative thinking.

1-Switch off your phone when you get home from work.

2-Don't use your phone on your way to and from work.Listen to music or read a novel.

3-Don't access Facebook and Twiter for one week.

4-Don't read any material that is not uplifting or motivational.

5-Turn off email notifications or any other social media messages.

6-Do not watch TV for one week .

7-No newspapers, on line news or any other form of world news access.

I think we ,Brazilians, also suffer from infobesity. We should limit the access to so much information we can get all the time. I like the tips to avoid infobesity. They can be effective if you try them out.
