As soon as we learn different pronouns in english

we study the reflexive pronouns:

myself              ex: I´m looking at myself in the mirror.

yourself

himself             ex: Tom doesn´t mind cooking his

                               meals himself.He is very creative

                                and loves making up new dishes.

herself              She imagined herself on stage while

                          she was at the theater.

itself                 The film itself was not very good

                          but I loved its music.

ourselves          Let´s paint the house ourselves.

                          It will be much cheaper.

yourselves         If you want more to eat,

                           help yourselves !

themselves        Some people are very selfish.

                           They only think of themselves.

We also use self- as a prefix .There are several

common words which have been used for

ages in different contexts with self- :

self-made man, self-service, self-introduction,

self-centered,self-portrait,self-confident

Well, then lately the word selfie/selfies turned

out to be essential to define people´s habit to

take their own pictures using their mobile phones

anywhere or anytime.

Everywhere we look at ,we see "photographers"
