June 24th 2016-Independence Day ?

Shock waves hit the global economy after the confirmation this Friday morning that the Leave campaign had won with 52% to 48 % for Remain in the EU.There is a large amount of uncertainty about what happens next,isn't there ?

David Cameron,British Prime Minister ,made a short speech right after the referendum result . He said :

"I do not think it would be right for me to try to be the captain that steers our country to its next destinations."

On the other hand Nigel Farage ,leader of the U.K Independence Party ,said the result of this historic referendum marked an " independence day".
