Pretty is not only the opposite of ugly ....really ?

 It is true ! Most people can only think of pretty as a feminine adjective which can be one of the synonyms of the long adjective beautiful (opposite of ugly)! One very good reason for this connection is the flick Pretty Woman ( a 1990 blockbuster comedy ) with the gorgeous Julia Roberts and the good-looking american actor Richard Gere .Nobody has ever forgotten this flick and  "couple" ! Its lively song Pretty Woman composed by Roy Orbison was also a great hit and reason  for many english learners to keep its lyrics in mind for ages !
