Remember me !

As soon as people start studying English as a second language, these two verbs: Remember (-ed) and Forget ( forgot, forgotten) are used a lot, aren't they? It is very common to listen to these verbs in everyday conversations and some people keep also repeating this sentence several times:" I don't know why I can't remember the right English word when I am in a real conversation with English speaking people!" Well, our memory can play tricks on us now and then, can't it?

However, there are some things and situations people never forget! For example, this year at The 90 Oscar Award  Ceremony there were some jokes about what happened last year with the Best Picture Envelope which made Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty announce La La Land as the winner of the best film! The true winner was " Moonlight" so there was a big mess on the stage at once, but then the winners 'Moonlight" producer and cast could celebrate their Award and laugh a lot about that "gaffe".

This year one actor who had to read the winner's name to inform the audience about the result said: " Don't Say La La Land, don't say La La Land!" Everybody burst into laughter because of his subtle joke! Well, the Show must go on, mustn't it?
