Roaming or Rooming ?

What a difference a vowel (a,e,i,o,u) makes !

Roaming (verb) moving about from place to place

more or less aimlessly and without obvious plan.

 Synonyms: wandering,drifting,vagabonding,rolling

Examples:

We could see black and white cows roaming in the fields.

Nowadays it is common to see homeless

people roaming along the streets with

their dogs,isn´t it ? 

The tourists were roaming around the ancient

fortress to take some photos.

  Rooming (verb)providing with a usually temporary

place to live.

Synonyms: accomodating,housing,boarding,lodging

Examples :

Her house is so big that she is rooming a

group of 6 tourists for ten days.

They had no problem rooming their old aunt

after their party.

We didn´t know Peter was rooming three

immigrants in his comfortable flat.
