Good and Bad Surprises in the summer !

Whenever somebody says summer time,

I remember ,at once , the  famous  song

composed by George Gershwin for the opera

Porgy and Bess in 1934.This song is one of the

most covered songs in history recorded music,

with more than 33,000 covers by groups and

solo performers.

 By the way,summer has just started in South Ame-

rica,but people have been facing hot temperatures

for a long time in Brazil.

It is hard to believe a new season has just begun

since the sun and dry weather are part of everybo-

-dy's days and routines all over the year .

Many people and cities need rainy days to refill

their reservoirs and solve the serious problem of

water shortage.There is a huge drought ( no rain)

in the northeast and southeast of Brazil which

makes everyone worry about the serious problems

to be solved as soon as possible! 

However, some floods have been destroying the

southern part of Brazil lately.Many families have

lost nearly everything they have had . They need

shelters to live in and donations to survive from

now on.

Unfortunately,there is not much people can do

when these sudden weather changes happen !

Listening or checking the weather forecast every-

-day may help , but it keeps changing all the time,

doesn´t it ?
