The date of Thanksgiving in the USA has

changed three times,  but it is now the

fourth Thursday,in November.

Most American and Canadian families still

have a Thanksgiving Day dinner with their

family.They have turkey and autumn vege-

-tables,and then pumpkin pie.

Roast Turkey is still a traditional dish for

many American families,but there has been

a great influence from  the American presi -

-dents who have pardoned the turkeys which

they received at the White House . Not eating

the turkeys made lots of other people choose

a different menu for their meals as well.

In Brazil Thanksgiving Day in 2015 is on No-

-vember 26.  Many families will thank God for

being alive and healthy,for having enough food

to eat and having a house to live in.   Turkey  is

not that popular on Brazilian's tables, but people

enjoy eating dinner together around their tables

to celebrate this holiday,don't they ?
