There was a time that whenever we wanted to show respect and treat or address any men or women respectfully ,we should use three kinds of titles in front of their family names or full names .They were :
Mr. for men (single or married ) Mr.Bond , Mr.Smith , Mr.Silva
Mrs. (married women ) Mrs. Brown , Mrs.Clark ,Mrs Sousa
Miss (single women).Miss Johnson ,Miss Lee, Miss Ferreira
After the Women's Liberation Movement then the title : " Ms " was chosen to be used in front single or married women's family name or full name too.Do you remember that ?
If you don't remember too much about when, where and why the Women's Liberation Movement took place, you can click on the links below to get more information about it,can't you ?

Nowadays there is one more titlle to be used .It is the trans-friendly title : " Mx " .For genderqueer people this decision to have this title included in dictionaries, application forms and several other contexts was a great victory !
This title is used before a person's surname or full name by those who wish to avoid specifying their gender or by those who prefer not to identify themselves as male or female.
In the examples below you can get the title " Mx" in context so that you can understand better how it is being used,ok ?
" the bank is planning to introduce the honorific " Mx " as an alternative for anyone who feels that they don't,for reasons of undetermined gender, fit into being either a Mr,Mrs,Miss or Ms. "
"Brighton & Hope council adopted the trans-friendly " Mx " title in 2013,after an inclusivity panel made the recommendation."

Mx. is a neutral modern title that was created to respect people's decision not to be identified as male or female.
This word genderqueer was a new word for me . It also defines a person who doesn't want to be labeled as a man or a woman. Modern world !!!
