Yellow taxis x Uber

Good transportation is not usually easy to

get in big cities. The traditional yellow cabs

which should take passengers everywhere

around the cities , sometimes , they are not

in good conditions and taxi drivers do not

stop for people who are standing on the pave-

-ment hailing them !!!

Besides that some cab drivers refuse to take

passengers to their destinations if the traffic

is too heavy and they are sure they will get

stuck into traffic jams on their way back to

the city center.

Nowadays in Rio de Janeiro and other big

brazilian cities the UBER app is being used

and it is causing negative reactions among

taxi drivers.

Uber was founded as "Ubercab" by Travis Kala-

-nick and Garret Camp in 2009 in San Francisco

and the app(e-hailing by smart phones) was re-

-leased the following June.

Beginning in 2012,Uber expanded internationally.

In 2014,it experimented with carpooling features

and made other updates.By mid 2015 Uber was

estimated to be worth $50 b.The legality of Uber

has been challenged by governments and taxi com-

-panies,who allege that its use of drivers who are

not licensed to drive taxicabs is unsafe and illegal.

This "fight" between regular yellow cab

drivers and Uber(black)taxi drivers makes

many passengers discuss about the pros and

cons of these city services.

to taxi drivers but the idea of driving as 

something nice and the " beep-beep-yeah "

repeated many times makes us feel fine and

relaxed,doesn't it ? 

We may decide then whether we are going to

 take a regular yellow taxi in the street or just

call Uber black new cars from our homes, offices

or even from the airport later,right ?
