CONVERSATION ACTIVITY- Giving and asking for directions.

• Situations

1-      I have a bank deposit to do, but I don’t know where the nearest bank is. Could you tell me where the nearest bank is?

2-      We are at Santo André downtown and someone asks you “Sir, how is the best way to go to the Grand Plaza Shopping?” How would you explain this?

3-      You are at an unknown city and look like lost. Ask someone to help you to find the way to the hotel.

4-      Explain how to get to Anchieta Highway.

Are you lost at an American city?

  Many cities offer city maps in panels by the city. They available subway maps too and you can go to the major places by subway.

 Ask for recommendations at the hotel, it is common the employees indicate good places to go and the best way to get there.

  The taxi drivers normally are foreign and don’t speak English very well, it is difficult to understand. Thus, explain calmly and objectively to where you want to go. It is good have annotated the hotel address.
